How to Play Multiplayer Online in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)

Quick Start Guide

1. Launch the game (Battle.net on PC, PlayStation/Xbox dashboard on console)
2. Select Multiplayer from the main menu
3. Choose a playlist: Quick Play (casual), Ranked Play (competitive), or Featured (rotating modes)
4. Pick a mode: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Free-for-All, etc.
5. Press Join Match – matchmaking finds a lobby
6. Customize loadout (Weapons → Gunsmith, Perks, Field Upgrades, Killstreaks) while waiting or in pre-match screen

Party & Voice Chat

• Invite Friends: Social tab → Friends → Invite to Party (cross-platform if linked Activision account)
• Voice Chat: Set to "Party" (friends only) or "All" (lobby) in Audio settings. Use push-to-talk or open mic.

Progression Systems

• Earn XP → level up → unlock weapons, attachments, operators, cosmetics
• Complete Daily/Weekly Challenges for bonus XP and Battle Pass tiers
• Weapon XP unlocks attachments per gun (camos at max level)

Requirements

• Stable internet (wired preferred)
• Active PS Plus / Xbox Live Gold / Nintendo Switch Online (not required on PC/Battle.net)
• Game updated to latest patch
