Connecting PS3 to TV: No "Channel" Needed—Use HDMI/Component/Composite & Select Correct Input

The PS3 does not use TV channels. It connects via video cables to a dedicated input on your TV.

Connection Steps

1. Cable: Use HDMI (best), Component (YPbPr, 1080i), or Composite (Yellow/Red/White, 480i).
2. Plug In: Connect cable to PS3 "AV MULTI OUT" and TV input.
3. Power On: Turn on TV and PS3.
4. Select Input: Use TV remote to choose the correct input (e.g., "HDMI 1", "Component", "AV").

First-Time Setup

If no picture appears, hold the PS3 power button for 5–10 seconds (second beep) to reset video output to default.

Online Access

For PlayStation Network, go to Settings → Network Settings → Internet Connection Settings and configure Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
