CECHL01 Has Bluetooth 2.0 — Move Works

The PS3 CECHL01 (80 GB, late 2008, "Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle" era) is a pre-Slim "Fat" model with Bluetooth 2.0 — it actually does support PlayStation Move.

Correction on Earlier Models

Earlier "Fat" models (CECHA/B/C/E/G — 2006–2007) have Bluetooth 1.2 and cannot pair Move controllers. CECHH/K/L/M/P/Q (2008 onward) upgraded to Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and fully support Move.

Requirements for Move on CECHL01

• PlayStation Move Motion Controller (one or two).
• PlayStation Eye Camera (required for tracking).
• System Software 3.50+ (Move support added).
• Firmware 3.50+ on Move controller (auto-updates via USB).

Setup

1. Connect PS Eye to USB.
2. Pair Move via USB cable → PS button → Settings → Accessory Settings → Manage Bluetooth Devices.
3. Calibrate in-game (Sports Champions, Tumble, Killzone 3, etc.).

Your CECHL01 can use Move — enjoy!
