How to Get Bots in Guitar Hero III (PS2)? You Can't

Guitar Hero III on PS2 has no bot/AI opponent system. Multiplayer is strictly:

• Local Versus: Two guitars, split-screen.
• Co-op Career: Two guitars, shared track.
• Online (Defunct): Ranked/Quick Match via PSN (servers dead).

Why No Bots?

• PS2 CPU (EE+VU) too weak for real-time note-chart AI.
• Game design focused on human vs. human competition.
• No middleware for bot note-charting existed then.

Alternatives for Solo Practice

• Practice Mode: Slow down, loop sections, no fail.
• Score Attack: Compete against your own ghost.
• Clone Hero (PC): Free, supports custom songs, has bot opponents (AI difficulty), plays all GH charts. Best modern GH experience.
• Phase Shift / Frets on Fire: Older PC clones with bot support.

For PS2 hardware, you're limited to human opponents or Practice Mode.
