GameShark Codes for Super Sonic in Sonic Advance 3? Better Alternatives

Using GameShark/Action Replay codes on GBA games risks save file corruption, game crashes, and anti-cheat locks (some GBA titles detect cheats and freeze). Here's how to play as Super Sonic legitimately.

Normal Unlock Method

• Collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds in Special Stages (enter via Giant Rings in Acts 1/2 with 50+ rings)
• Finish the game
• Super Sonic becomes selectable in the menu

Alternative Approaches

• New Game+: After beating the game once, start a new file—Super Sonic may be available earlier depending on version
• Emulator Save States: Download a 100% save file (.sav) from sites like GameFAQs and load it in your emulator (mGBA, VBA-M, RetroArch)

The Special Stages in Advance 3 are among the best in the handheld series—worth experiencing as designed. The satisfaction of earning Super Sonic legitimately far exceeds any cheat code shortcut.
