How do I Register a Keyboard on a PS3?

The Sony PlayStation 3 has some instances where text needs to be entered into the console. Using a standard Sony PS3 controller to enter text through an onscreen keyboard can be cumbersome. The Sony PS3 console does have keyboard support. Players will need to register a keyboard before using it. Wireless keyboards need to have Bluetooth support in order to connect to the PS3.
