How to Register My PS3 Online

The Sony PlayStation 3 console was released in November 2006 as a successor to the PS2. Inside the box of every new console is a registration card that will register your console by mail. If you have lost that card or do not want to register by mail, you can register your console online at the official PlayStation website. Registering your console gives you access to console services, advanced information and a monthly PlayStation newsletter.

  Go to the Product Registration page at the official PlayStation website in your Web browser.

  Enter your console&'s information. Under the “Hardware” heading, there will be a box for the PS3. Enter your console&'s barcode/serial number, which can be found on the back of the console, and the date of purchase.

  Click the “Continue” button at the bottom of the page.

  Log in to your PlayStation Network account. If you do not have one, create one by entering an e-mail address, a user name and a password. This will allow you track all of your registered products with one account. When log in, your PS3 will be registered.
