How to Register a PSP Online

By registering your Sony PlayStation Portable, or PSP, software and hardware you&'ll get information about the products you register and recommendations for related PlayStation products, advance information on game promotions and demos, invitations to apply for beta tests and monthly email newsletters with gaming information about all Sony systems.

  Open your Internet browser and go to the Sony PSP website at us.PlayStation.com/psp/index.htm

  Select "Support" from the main menu.

  Under the support options locate and select “Register your product”

  Locate the image of the PSP under the hardware section.

  Locate the serial code on the bottom of your PSP device. The number at the end of the serial code will indicate the PSP model and region.
  
  PSP-100x is the first PSP model, the Phat.
  
  PSP-200x is the second model, the PSP Slim.
  
  PSP-300x is the third and most recent model, also known as the PSP Brite.

  Enter the barcode number and purchase date. Select "Continue." If this number is not legible, please contact SCEA Consumer Services (http://us.PlayStation.com/support/ask/).
