Where to Download UltraStar (Free Karaoke Software) and Get Songs

UltraStar is not a commercial game; it's open-source karaoke software (PC/Mac/Linux). You download it for free.

Official Source

ultrastar.de → **Download** section. Choose your OS (Windows / macOS / Linux).

Getting Songs (Required)

The program installs **empty**. You need .txt + .mp3/.ogg + .jpg/.png song packages.

• Official Song Server: Built-in "Download Songs" menu (community-curated).
• Community Sites: USDB.eu (largest database, requires free account), UltraStar.es (Spanish community).
• YouTube to UltraStar: Tools like UltraStar Creator, Karaoke Mugen can generate files from YT + synced lyrics.

Modern Forks (Recommended)

• UltraStar Deluxe (USDx): Active fork, better UI, video support, duet, party modes. GitHub.
• UltraStar WorldParty: Mobile/Android port.
• Performous: C++ rewrite, supports SingStar/UltraStar/Rock Band formats, guitar/bass/drums via controllers.

Great for parties. Plug in USB mics (Rock Band/Guitar Hero/SingStar mics work on PC).
