Game development is a multidisciplinary collaboration. A typical mid-to-large studio (50–500+) organizes into these disciplines:
Roles merge. One person = Design + Code + Art (programmer art) + Audio (free assets) + Marketing + BizDev. Tools: Unity/Godot, Aseprite, Blender, Audacity, GitHub, Trello/Notion.
Key Insight: "Idea Guy" is not a role. Everyone builds. The best developers have T-shaped skills (deep in one, functional in adjacent).
