How to Install Saw (Video Game) - Platform Guide

Installation depends entirely on your platform and purchase method. Saw (2009, Zombie Studios) was released on PC (Steam), PS3, and Xbox 360.

PC (Steam / GOG / Epic)

  1. Install the client (Steam/GOG Galaxy/Epic Games Launcher).
  2. Log in → Library → Search "Saw".
  3. Click Install. Choose drive. Wait for download + unpack.
  4. Launch. First run installs DirectX/VCRedist if needed.

PlayStation 3 (Disc)

  1. Insert disc. Game icon appears on XMB under "Game".
  2. Select → "Install" (mandatory ~4.5 GB HDD install).
  3. Wait. Play from XMB.

Xbox 360 (Disc)

  1. Insert disc. Dashboard shows game tile.
  2. Press Y on tile → "Install to Hard Drive" (optional but recommended for noise/load times).
  3. Play. Disc must remain in drive for license check.

Xbox One / Series X|S (Backward Compatibility)

  1. Insert Xbox 360 disc. Console downloads digital license (~7 GB).
  2. Disc acts as key; game runs from internal SSD/HDD.

Troubleshooting

  • "Disc Unreadable": Clean disc (radial, microfiber). Try another console.
  • PC "Missing DLL": Verify game files (Steam: Properties → Installed Files → Verify).
  • PS3 "Install Failed": Check HDD space (need 2x install size free). Rebuild Database (Safe Mode → Option 5).

Specify your platform if you hit a specific error code.
