You don’t “add” players directly in a match — you use the Party System to group up before matchmaking. Here’s the step-by-step.

Step-by-Step: Play with Friends

1. Add Friends: Xbox/PS/PC → Social → Add Friend (Activision ID, Gamertag, PSN, Battle.net).
2. Create Party: Main Menu → Party → Create Party → Invite Friends.
3. Party Leader Queues: Leader selects Multiplayer → Playlist → Matchmaking starts for whole party.
4. Join In Progress: If friend already in lobby, select their name → Join Party / Join Game.

Cross-Play Notes

• Enabled by Default: PlayStation, Xbox, PC (Steam/Battle.net) play together.
• Disable: Settings → Account → Crossplay → Off (increases queue time).
