There are no cheat codes for Guitar Hero 5 (or Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Guitar Hero Live). Activision/Neversoft removed traditional cheat menus starting with Guitar Hero: World Tour (2008) to protect online leaderboards, DLC integrity, and competitive balance.
What *Was* in Earlier Games (GH1–GH3, GH: Aerosmith)
- Entered at **Main Menu → Options → Cheats** (or specific button combo on title screen).
- Codes: `Unlock All Songs`, `Performance Mode`, `Hyper Speed`, `All Guitars`, `Air Guitar` (no notes).
- Disabled Achievements/Trophies & Leaderboard posting.
Why GH5+ Removed Them
- GHTunes / Custom Songs: User-generated content sharing required deterministic engine.
- Online Career / Band Moments: Sync across players; cheats desync.
- DLC Encryption: Songs are signed; modified executables break verification.
- Anti-Cheat: Memory scanning for modified note charts / score values.
Legitimate "Unlock Everything" Methods
- Complete Career Mode: Unlocks all venues, guitars, characters, songs.
- Band Moments / Challenges: Complete for exclusive gear.
- GHTunes: Download community charts (servers dead; use Clone Hero on PC for infinite customs).
- Cheat Engine / Trainers (PC / RPCS3 / Xenia only): Freeze score multiplier, auto-play, unlock all. **Offline only.** Ban risk on real hardware + Live/PSN.
Better Alternative: Clone Hero (PC)
Free, open-source Guitar Hero clone. Supports **all GH/RB charts (.chart, .mid, .rb3con)**, custom highways, 5–7 lane, keyboard/controller/guitar input, online multiplayer (peer-to-peer), **built-in cheat menu** (Auto-Play, No Fail, Speed, Mirror, Ghost). Active community, thousands of songs. Requires PC.
TL;DR: No codes in GH5. Play Career. Want cheats/customs → Play Clone Hero on PC.
