Most Popular DSi XL Games: Top Titles by Sales & Acclaim

No single "most popular" DSi XL game exists (Nintendo never released per-model sales), but these titles define the system's library:

System-Sellers (DSi Enhanced / XL Optimized)

• Pokémon Black/White / Black 2/White 2: DSi-enhanced (camera features, better Wi-Fi). Best-selling DSi-era games (~15M each).
• Mario Kart DS: Not DSi-enhanced but #1 DS game (23M). Essential for Download Play multiplayer.
• New Super Mario Bros.: 30M+ sold. Perfect on XL screens.

Critically Acclaimed DSiWare (Digital Only)

• Art Academy: Teaches real drawing/painting techniques. Stunning on XL screens.
• Flipnote Studio: Animation tool—cultural phenomenon in Japan.
• Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again: Best puzzle-platformer on DSiWare.
• WarioWare: Snapped! Uses DSi camera for microgames.

Hidden Gems (Physical)

• Professor Layton and the Curious Village: Puzzle masterpiece; XL screen helps.
• The World Ends With You: Unique RPG; touchscreen combat shines on XL.
• Elite Beat Agents: Rhythm game; XL touchscreen = better accuracy.
• Metroid Prime Hunters: Best FPS on DS; online dead but campaign great.

Regional Notes

Japan got exclusive DSiWare (Dragon Quest Wars, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon demos). EU/US libraries differ slightly.

For Pure DSi XL Experience: Art Academy (uses large screens), WarioWare: Snapped! (camera), Pokémon B/W 2 (enhanced features).
