Can You Delete or Refund DSiWare Games Purchased with DSi Points?

Short Answer: No

Games bought with DSi Points (DSiWare) are tied to your Nintendo Account/console and cannot be deleted to free up space or refunded for points.

Why

• License-Based: Purchases grant a license linked to the console's unique ID and your Nintendo Network ID (if linked).
• No "Uninstall" Function: The DSi/3DS system menu only offers "Delete" for save data, not the licensed title itself. The title remains in your download history.
• Points Are Non-Refundable: Nintendo's Terms of Service state DSi Points/ Nintendo eShop funds are final sale.

What You Can Do

• Archive/Redownload: On 3DS family systems, you can "Delete Software" (removes icon/data) and "Redownload" later from the eShop (if still listed) at no extra cost.
• Transfer License: Use System Transfer to move all licenses to a new 3DS/2DS. The old system loses access.
