Is Nintendogs a "Game for Boys"?

No. Nintendogs is a virtual pet simulator enjoyed by all demographics. Its core loops—feeding, training, walking, petting, contests—appeal to nurturing instincts, responsibility, and cute aesthetics, which are universal human traits, not gendered.

Marketing historically targeted girls (pink boxes, shopping channels), but play data shows broad gender parity. The sequel, Nintendogs + Cats (3DS), and spiritual successors like Little Friends: Dogs & Cats (Switch) continue this inclusive design.

Games don't have genders. Play what you enjoy.
