2024 Reality Check

  • DSi: DSi Shop dead (2017). Only physical carts + DSiWare already installed. CFW (Unlaunch + HiyaCFW) unlocks SD loading.
  • Wii: Shop Channel dead (2019). Homebrew (Homebrew Channel, USB Loader GX, Nintendont) makes it a full retro station.

Verdict

  • Portability + touch RPGs/puzzles → DSi (with CFW).
