Can Action Replay DS Damage Your DSi?

Using an **Action Replay DS / DSi** cartridge carries **low but real risk** of hardware or software issues. It will not "brick" your DSi in normal use, but misuse can cause problems.

Risks

• Save Corruption: Bad codes (wrong region, typos, conflicting hooks) can write garbage to save sectors → "Save file erased" or game fails to boot. **Backup saves first** (via homebrew like Checkpoint / GodMode9 on 3DS, or another DS + flashcart).
• System Freeze / Crash: Poorly coded cheats (infinite loops, bad memory writes) hang the CPU. Hard reset required. No permanent damage.
