Nintendo 3DS LL (Japan) = Nintendo 3DS XL (North America / Europe / Australia).

  • Same **4.88" top / 4.18" bottom** screens (90% larger than original 3DS).
  • Same **battery life** (3.5–6.5 hrs), **CPU**, **firmware features**.
  • Region locking applies: Japanese LL plays **JP-region games only** (unless CFW / Luma3DS region-free patch).
  • Charger: Japan uses **100 V** plug; NA/EU XL includes region-appropriate charger (or buy a universal 5V/1A USB + 3DS charge cable).
  • eShop: JP eShop closed March 2023; NA/EU closed March 2023. Installed titles remain; no new purchases.

If importing a LL, ensure you have a compatible charger and understand **region restrictions** for physical carts / digital licenses.
