"Nintendo DS Eye" Doesn't Exist—You Likely Mean the DSi/3DS Camera or the DS Lite Itself

There is no product called "Nintendo DS Eye." You're likely conflating two things:

What You Might Mean

  • Nintendo DSi (2009) / DSi XL (2010): First DS models with built-in cameras (2× 0.3 MP / VGA). Also added SD slot, DSi Shop, browser, no GBA slot.
  • Nintendo 3DS (2011): Two outer cameras (3D photos/video), one inner camera. 3D screen, backward compatible with DS.
  • Nintendo DS Lite (2006): No camera. Sleeker, brighter screens, better battery than original DS. Used price: $25–$55.
  • PlayStation Eye / PlayStation Camera: Sony's camera peripherals (PS2/PS3/PS4/PS5). Different brand.

Current Used Prices (2024, USD)

  • DS Lite: $25–$55 (condition/color/box)
  • DSi / DSi XL: $40–$90
  • 3DS / 3DS XL / 2DS / New 3DS XL: $70–$180 (model/condition dependent)

Clarify Your Goal

  • Want a DS with a camera? → Get a DSi or 3DS.
  • Want the cheapest DS? → DS Lite.
  • Want to play DS games on TV? → Not possible natively. Use capture card or emulator.
  • Looking for "EyeToy" equivalent? → That's PlayStation (PS2 EyeToy, PS3/PS4/PS5 Camera).

Specify what you're trying to do—play games, take photos, collect—and I'll point to the right hardware.
