Was LittleBigPlanet Ever Released on Nintendo DS?

No. There was never an official LittleBigPlanet game released for the Nintendo DS, DSi, or 3DS.

Why the Confusion Exists

  • Brand Ubiquity: LBP was PlayStation's flagship UGC platform (PS3, PSP, Vita). Players assumed a DS port existed.
  • Similar DS Titles: Several DS games shared LBP's "Play, Create, Share" DNA and are often misremembered as ports:
    • Scribblenauts (2009) — Emergent puzzle solving, object summoning, level editor (limited).
    • Kirby: Canvas Curse (2005) — Touchscreen platforming, drawing paths.
    • Drawn to Life (2007) — Draw your hero/weapons/platforms. UGC focus.
    • Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! (2010) — Level editor, share via Nintendo Wi-Fi.
  • Sackboy Cameos: Sackboy appeared in ModNation Racers (PSP/PS3), PlayStation All-Stars, but never on a Nintendo platform.

If You Want LBP on a Handheld Today

  • PS Vita (Hacked/Hen) — Best experience. LBP Vita + DLC + community levels (via NoPayStation / PKGj).
  • PSP (CFW) — LBP PSP runs well on 6.61 PRO-C2/Infinity.
  • Remote Play (PS4/PS5 → Phone/Tablet/PC) — Play Sackboy: A Big Adventure or LBP 3 streamed.

No DS version exists. The DS got Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life instead—both excellent creative platformers in their own right.
