LittleBigPlanet 2 Online Multiplayer

Yes, LittleBigPlanet 2 supports online multiplayer via PlayStation Network.

Online Features

• Co-op story/levels: 2–4 players solve puzzles, platform, and create together.
• Versus levels: Community-created competitive modes (races, battles, score challenges).
• Sackboy/Sackgirl sharing: Upload/download custom costumes, stickers, decorations.
• Level publishing: Share your creations; play millions of community levels.
• Cross-play: PS3 players can join Vita players (via LBP PS Vita / LBP 2 cross-buy).

Caveats (2024 Reality)

• Server status: Official LBP servers are no longer actively maintained. Matchmaking may be slow or fail; some online features (leaderboards, patch downloads) may not work.
• PSN account required: Must sign in to PSN.
• Platform: PS3 only. Not on PS4/PS5 (no backward compatibility).

For current community status, check littlebigplanet.com or the LittleBigPlanet subreddit/Discord. The single-player and local co-op remain fully playable offline.
