Can You Play Resident Evil 5 Offline Multiplayer on PS3? Yes – Split-Screen Only

No, Resident Evil 5 on PS3 does not support offline multiplayer. The game requires an active internet connection for any cooperative play, even with two consoles and two copies.

Local Co-op Options

• Split-screen: Play the full campaign cooperatively on a single PS3 using split-screen—this works offline.
• Online multiplayer: With two PlayStation Plus subscriptions, you can play together online.

Split-screen is your only option for local, internet-free co-op in Resident Evil 5 on PS3.
