The Sims 4 on PS3: Not Available, Here's Why

The Sims 4 will never release on PS3.

• Release Timing: The Sims 4 launched Sept 2014 (PC), Nov 2017 (PS4/Xbox One). PS3 was discontinued 2017.
• Hardware Gap: PS3's Cell CPU / 256MB RAM cannot handle The Sims 4's simulation engine, multitasking, and Create-A-Sim complexity.
• Engine: Built for x86-64 (PC/PS4/Xbox One), not Cell.

Options to Play

1. PS4 / PS5: Full feature parity, controller optimized.
2. PC / Mac: Mods, higher graphics, keyboard/mouse.
3. Xbox One / Series X|S: Included with Game Pass.

The Sims 3 (2009) is the last Sims on PS3, but it's a stripped-down port.
