Mass Effect 1 on PS3? No—But Legendary Edition Is on PS4/PS5

The original Mass Effect (2007) was never released on PS3. It launched on Xbox 360 and PC (Microsoft published).

• Mass Effect 2 & 3 came to PS3 (2011, 2012) via EA.
• PS3 Trilogy Disc: Released 2012—contains ME2, ME3, and a comic-style interactive recap of ME1 (not the full game).

How to Play ME1 on PlayStation Today:

• Mass Effect Legendary Edition (2021): Remastered trilogy (all 3 games + 40+ DLCs) on PS4 (backward compatible on PS5), Xbox One/Series, PC. Best way—updated graphics, unified UI, all DLC included.
• Cloud Streaming: PS Plus Premium streams ME Legendary Edition to PS4/PS5/PC.

Recommendation: Skip the PS3 version. Play Legendary Edition on PS4/PS5/PC for the complete, modernized experience.
