Will Atari's Next Tetris Work on PS3? Almost Certainly Not

Almost certainly not.

Why

• No announcement: Atari has not revealed a new Tetris title
• PS3 is dead commercially: Sony ended game submissions (2020), store closure (2021, reversed for PS3/Vita), no dev kits issued
• Licensing: Tetris rights held by The Tetris Company; modern licenses go to Ubisoft (Tetris Effect, Tetris 99), N3TWORK (Tetris Beat), or mobile. Atari's last Tetris was Tetris Ultimate (2014, PS4/Xbox One/PC/3DS/Vita)
• Technical: PS3's Cell architecture makes porting expensive for a shrinking user base
