Triple Attack in Warriors Orochi 2 on PSP: Does It Exist?

There is no "Triple Attack" mechanic in Warriors Orochi 2 (PSP). You may be confusing it with:

Actual Mechanics

  • Musou / True Musou: Fill Musou gauge → press Circle (O) for character-specific ultimate. "True Musou" (low health + full gauge) adds elemental effect.
  • Combo Chains: Square × N → Triangle (launcher) → aerial chain → Triangle (finisher). Each character has 6–10 hit combos.
  • Switch Attacks: Press L/R + Square/Triangle during combo → tag in ally for extended chain (up to 3 characters = "Triple" team combo).
  • Unity Attack: Full Bond Gauge + all 3 alive → press Select → cinematic triple strike (unique per trio).

How to Execute a 3-Character Chain (Closest to "Triple Attack")

  1. Build Bond Gauge (fight together, pick up bonds).
  2. Start combo with Character A.
  3. Mid-combo: L1 + Square → Character B enters, continues combo.
  4. Again: R1 + Square → Character C enters, finishes with Unity Attack if gauge full.

PSP-Specific Notes

  • Frame rate drops in 3-player Unity Attack — use sparingly.
  • No "Triple Attack" button combo in move list (check Pause → Move List).
  • Japanese version (Musou Orochi Z) has different mechanics — not on PSP.

Check the in-game tutorial (Main Menu → Tutorial) for your character's exact combo tree. Experiment in Free Mode vs. dummy.
