Downloading Guitar Hero Songs on PS3 — Not Possible Officially

You cannot download individual songs for Guitar Hero on PS3 anymore.

Why

• DLC delisted: All Guitar Hero / Rock Band DLC removed from PlayStation Store (licensing expired)
• No storefront: PS3 store closed for purchases (2021), though redownload of owned content works
• Disc-based model: PS3 GH games shipped complete on disc; DLC was supplementary

What You Can Do

• Buy used discs: GH III, World Tour, Metallica, Smash Hits, 5, Warriors of Rock — each has unique setlists
• PC + Clone Hero (Free) — Community-driven, supports all GH/RB charts, custom songs, online multiplayer, keyboard/controller/wheel support
• RPCS3 Emulation — Play PS3 GH games at 4K, but requires dumped discs + strong CPU

Legal Warning

Downloading ISOs/DLC from unofficial sources is piracy. Clone Hero is legal (original engine, no copyrighted assets). Dump your own discs for emulation.

For active rhythm gaming in 2024+: Clone Hero on PC is the answer.
