PS3: Installed Game Not Showing Up? Troubleshooting Steps

Quick Checks

1. Game Column: On XMB, scroll to Game → Game Library. Installed titles appear here.
2. Search: Press △ on Game column → Search → type game name.
3. Category Filter: Press △ → Sort By → ensure "All" selected (not "Disc" or "PSN").

Deeper Fixes

• Game Data Utility: Settings → Game Data Utility. Check if install data exists (corrupted = 0 KB). Delete & reinstall.
• External HDD: If installed there, ensure it's FAT32, MBR, first partition. Reconnect; try different USB port.
• Rebuild Database: Safe Mode (hold power 7 sec → 2 beeps) → Option 5. Fixes filesystem errors. Does not delete saves/games.
• System Update: Settings → System Update → via Internet/USB. Latest: 4.91.
• License Restore: PSN → Account Management → Restore Licenses (for digital purchases).

Digital-Only Games

Must be downloaded (not just purchased) to appear. Check Download List (PSN → Download List) → "Download to Your PS3".

If all fails: backup saves (USB/Cloud), initialize PS3 (Safe Mode → Option 6), restore.
