Is There a Scarface Game on PS3? No—But Here Are the Versions That Exist

No official Scarface game was released for PlayStation 3. The franchise's gaming history skipped the PS3 generation entirely.

Existing Scarface Games

• Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006) – PS2, Xbox, PC, Wii. Open-world sequel to the film. Tony Montana rebuilds empire. Well-reviewed (Metacritic 75–80). Not on PS3 (no backward compat for PS2 discs on most models).
• Scarface: Money. Power. Respect. (2008) – Mobile (iOS, Java ME, BREW). Turn-based empire builder. Not on consoles.
• Scarface (1980s arcade?) – No. Only the above two.

Why No PS3 Version?

• The World Is Yours developed for PS2/Xbox era. Porting to Cell architecture was costly.
• IP licensing (Universal, Al Pacino likeness) complex and expensive.
• Vivendi Games (publisher) merged into Activision Blizzard (2008)—focus shifted.
• Wii version (2007) was the last console release.

How to Play Today

• PC (GOG/Steam): The World Is Yours runs well on modern Windows. ~$10–$15.
• PS2 (original hardware or backward-compatible PS3): Disc cheap ($10–$20).
• Xbox 360/One/Series X|S: Backward compatible. Enhanced resolution.
• Wii: Motion controls for aiming. Unique but clunky.

You're likely misremembering the platform—or thinking of The Godfather games (PS3 had The Godfather II, 2009). For Scarface, grab the PC or Xbox version.
