EyeToy on PS3: Not Compatible

No. The EyeToy (USB camera for PS2) **does not work on PlayStation 3**.

Why

• Driver/Architecture: EyeToy uses PS2-specific USB protocol & kernel modules. PS3's GameOS / Linux (OtherOS) never supported it.
• Successor: PS3 launched with **PlayStation Eye** (PS3 Eye) — higher res (640×480 @ 60fps / 320×240 @ 120fps), 4-mic array, PS3 driver stack.
