GTA San Andreas PS2: No Split-Screen Multiplayer

GTA San Andreas on PS2 does not support split-screen multiplayer. The feature was never implemented.

Multiplayer Options

• PS2: None — single-player only
• PC: Multiplayer via SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer) or MTA (Multi Theft Auto) — massive community, still active
• Xbox (original): System Link (LAN) for 2 players — no split-screen
• Mobile/Console remasters (Definitive Edition): Still single-player only

Local Co-op Workarounds

• Pass-the-controller: swap on missions/deaths
• Two consoles + two copies + System Link (Xbox) or SA-MP (PC LAN)

For couch co-op GTA: GTA V (PS4/5, Xbox One/Series, PC) supports 2-player online but not local split-screen.
