BioShock PS3 Save Transfers: Not Possible Across Platforms

You cannot transfer BioShock PS3 saves to PC, Xbox 360, PS4, or any other platform.

Why It's Impossible

• Platform-specific formats: Each console encrypts saves with unique keys and filesystem structures.
• No cross-save feature: 2K/Irrational never implemented cloud saves or cross-platform tools for the original trilogy.
• Remasters are separate: BioShock: The Collection (PS4/Xbox One/PC/Switch) uses new save formats; no import path exists.

What You Can Do

• Continue on PS3: Your save works perfectly on the original hardware.
• Use chapter select (remaster): The Collection lets you start any chapter — fast-track to where you left off.
• Backup your PS3 save: Copy to USB (settings → saved data utility) for safekeeping.
• Explore lore elsewhere: Novels (BioShock: Rapture), art books, soundtrack, or the upcoming Netflix film.
