Free Account Creation

On console: Settings → Users and Accounts → Add User → "Create Account".
Web: account.sony.com → Create Account.
App: PlayStation App → Sign Up.
Requires: Email, DOB, region, password — no payment method required.

Getting Online Multiplayer Cheaply

Stack Essential Codes: Buy 12-month codes on sale ($35–45) — stack up to 3 years.
CDKeys / Eneba / Instant Gaming: Authorized resellers — often 20–30% off.
Share Play: Friend with Plus can invite you to play their game online (host needs Plus).
Free Weekend Events: Sony occasionally opens online MP free for weekend.

Warning: Account Sharing / Buying

Account Sharing: Violates ToS — risk of permanent ban for both accounts.
Buying Accounts: Stolen credentials, banned, no recovery.
"Free PSN Codes" Sites: Phishing, malware, survey scams.

Bottom Line: Free account = free single-player + F2P online. Paid Plus = paid game online multiplayer + bonuses. No legitimate permanent free Plus.
