How to Play a Game in Full Screen (PC, Console, Mobile)

As an AI, I can't play games—but here's how you can enable full-screen mode on any platform.

PC Games (Windows/Mac/Linux)

  1. Launch the game.
  2. Open Settings → Video / Display / Graphics.
  3. Look for Display Mode or Window Mode.
  4. Select Full Screen (exclusive) or Borderless Window (alt-tab friendly).
  5. Apply/Confirm. Restart game if prompted.

Shortcut: Many games toggle full-screen with Alt+Enter (Windows) or Cmd+F (Mac).

Console Games (PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X|S/One, Switch)

  1. Launch the game.
  2. Open in-game Settings → Display / Video / Screen.
  3. Select Full Screen if available (some console games force full-screen).
  4. On Switch: System Settings → TV Settings → Adjust screen size if overscan cuts edges.

Mobile Games (iOS/Android)

  1. Most modern mobile games run full-screen automatically.
  2. If not: Check in-game Settings → Display / Graphics for a "Full Screen" toggle.
  3. Android: Some games respect "Hide navigation bar" in system settings.
  4. iOS: No system-level full-screen toggle—depends on developer implementation.

Troubleshooting

  • Option missing? The game doesn't support it (common in older titles or ports).
  • Black bars? Aspect ratio mismatch—check "Stretch," "4:3," "16:9," "21:9" options.
  • Performance drop in full-screen? Try Borderless Window—similar look, better alt-tab, sometimes better frame pacing.

If the option isn't there, the game simply doesn't support it.
