Action Replay GameCube on Wii? (No — Incompatible)

GameCube Action Replay (AR) / Gecko / SD Media Launcher do not work on Wii.

Why

• Different CPU/GPU: Wii (Broadway/Hollywood) vs. GC (Gekko/Flipper) — similar but not binary compatible for cheat engines.
• Memory map differs: AR hooks GC-specific addresses.
• Wii Mode disables GC hardware access (no Slot-B, different IOS).

Wii Cheating Options

• Homebrew Channel + Gecko OS / WiiRD / Accio Hacks — load .gct code files for Wii/GC games (via Nintendont for GC).
• Nintendont (GC on Wii/Wii U) — built-in cheat support (.gct on SD:/codes).
• USB Gecko / Wiird — hardware debugger (advanced).

For GC games on Wii: Install Homebrew → Nintendont → put .gct codes in /codes. Clean, no disc swapping.
