Is a Skulduggery Pleasant Video Game Coming?

As of 2024, no official Skulduggery Pleasant video game has been announced by Derek Landy or any publisher/developer.

Current Status

• No press releases, trademarks, or developer job listings indicate a project
• Fan-made prototypes exist (Unity/Unreal), but none released publicly
• Landy has expressed openness to adaptations in interviews, but no deals confirmed

Why It Would Work

• Rich magic system → natural combat/skill trees
• Distinct visual identity (skeletons, necromancy, modern fantasy)
• Strong narrative foundation for RPG or action-adventure

What to Watch

• Derek Landy's social media / newsletter
• Gaming news outlets (IGN, Eurogamer) for licensing announcements
• Publisher portfolios (e.g., Warner Bros. Games, Focus, indie publishers)

For now, fans can only speculate—but the IP is ripe for adaptation.
