Controlling More Than 8 Sims in The Sims 3 (Video-Making Workarounds)

Hard limit: Only 8 playable Sims per household. You cannot directly control more simultaneously.

• Multiple households on one lot: Use Edit Town to place two 8-Sim families on the same lot (e.g., upstairs/downstairs). Switch active household to film each group.
• NPCs as "extras": Hire maids, butlers, pizza delivery, or use neighbors; direct them via Shift+click (with testingcheatsenabled true) for limited posing.
• Pose Player / Animation mods: Community mods (e.g., Andrew's Pose Player) let you pose any Sim for screenshots/video.
