Buying Checklist

YLOD Signs: Yellow light → immediate shutdown = dead GPU/CPU solder. Walk away.

Is It Worth It in 2024?

Only if you want PS3 exclusives (MGS4, Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank Future, Folklore, Puppeteer) or PS1/PS2 classics via PS Store. For multiplatform titles, a PS4/PS5 or PC is far better value.
