Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Trilogy on PS3? No Rerelease Planned

No official PS3 rerelease exists or is planned. The trilogy never came to PS3 as a collection.

Why Not?

• PS3 discontinued (2017); Sony no longer certifies new titles
• Licensing complexity (Ubisoft + multiple publishers over time)
• Remastering for Cell architecture is costly for a dead platform
• Focus shifted to PS4/PS5/PC (first two games available digitally on PS4/PS5)

Where to Play Today

• PC (GOG/Steam): Original trilogy, often on sale, mods available
• PS4/PS5: Sands of Time and Warrior Within on PS Store
• Xbox One/Series X|S: Backward compatible (original Xbox versions)
• PS2 Emulation (PC): PCSX2 — legal if you own discs. Best visuals (4K, widescreen patches)

Best Experience

PC via GOG/Steam + Widescreen Fix mod. Or PS2 emulation for the original console experience upgraded. The PS3 door is closed.
