EA shut down Skate 3 online servers in 2014. You cannot:
Invite friends to online sessions.
Play ranked/unordered multiplayer.
Access Skate.Reel (video upload), Skate.Park (park sharing), or leaderboards.
Earn online trophies (Platinum impossible on PS3 now).

Full single-player career (Port Carverton).
Local multiplayer: Party Play (pass controller, competitive minigames) — 2 players on one console.
Free Skate / Session Marker / Replay Editor — create lines, save replays to HDD.
Hall of Meat (bail challenges).
Community Workarounds (PC Only)
RPCS3 Emulator + Custom Server (Skate 3 Online Revival): Active Discord community runs private matchmaking. Requires legit game dump, decent PC (Ryzen 5 / RTX 3060+ for 4K/60).
Parsec / Steam Remote Play: Stream local Party Play to a friend online.
Modern Alternatives
Session: Skate Sim (PC/PS4/5/Xbox) — sim-heavy, active online.
Skate. (Upcoming, 2025+) — EA's reboot, cross-play, live service.
OlliOlli World — 2D, stylish, chill.

On PS3 hardware, Skate 3 is a solo/party game now. The community keeps the spirit alive on PC.
