How to Register More Than One Wired Headset on PS3

A wired headset allows you to converse with other plays online while using the Sony PlayStation 3. Although most headsets do come in a wireless package you can obtain a few different models that require you to connect the headset to the PS3. Due to the setup and hardware configurations of the PlayStation 3 you can only connect up to 2 different wired headsets at a time.

Instructions

  Power on your Sony PlayStation 3 and press the PS3 button in the middle of the controller. The PlayStation now recognizes the controller. Remove the controller from the system and unplug the USB cable. The controller still functions but it opens up the USB port.

  Connect the USB end of the first PS3 wired headset into one of the two USB ports on the front of the Sony PlayStation.

  Power on the PlayStation 3 wired headset. In a moment the light blinks on. This means the PS3 has detected the wired headset.

  Repeat the connection process with the second wired headset and the second USB port on the system. Once the light blinks on you can use both wired headsets.
