Do You Need the Battlefield 3 Disc to Play the Beta on Xbox?

You cannot play Battlefield 3 on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S at all.

Why

• BF3 (2011) launched on Xbox 360, PS3, PC.
• Xbox backward compatibility program does not include BF3 (licensing/engine issues).
• No disc or digital version works on Xbox One/Series consoles.

Playable Battlefield Titles on Modern Xbox

• Battlefield 1 (Xbox One/Series, Game Pass)
• Battlefield 4 (Xbox One/Series, Game Pass)
• Battlefield V (Xbox One/Series, Game Pass)
• Battlefield 2042 (Xbox One/Series)
• Battlefield 1943 (Xbox 360, backward compatible)

If you own the 360 disc, it only works on an actual Xbox 360.
